Science journalism vs fake news

Science journalism vs fake news

visual campaign

In the never-ending fight for the truth, fake news is the latest challenger. Science journalists take on the noble task of supplying their audience with solid knowledge. During a symposium organized by SCW that addressed the problem of fake news they shared ideas, against a vivid visual campaign as backdrop.

To make the need for good science felt, the struggle with fake news was made visible through strong contrasts in color and dimension. This adds weight to the urgency of the topic. At the same time the light hues, in addition to the brighter ones, retain a certain tranquility and calm.

Abstract

To get the central message of the symposium across it was important to frame the discussion, but not obstruct it in any way.

To lend as much space as possible to the actual content of the symposium the visual pallet of the campaign is kept abstract and implicit. The geometric shapes offer support, but they just as easily retreat to the background.
